- It will be played according to the original Jumbo game rules, extended by ISF game and tournament rules. (ISF = International Stratego Foundation) ISF-rules will be available at the world championship and will be explained before every tournament. Further information at: http://www.isfstratego.com/
- Every player who knows basic Stratego rules is qualified to participate. These rules can be learned before the tournament. A qualification by winning against others in former tournaments is not necessary.
- It will be played according to the Swiss Perfect System. This means every participant plays all rounds of a tournament. The system manages, that you play against participants of equal strength.
- The best four of each country qualify for the Team Country Competition. To determine these, the result of the World Championship Seniors (Juniors) is taken into account. These players can not be changed.
- Everybody who is born in 1989 or later is a Junior.
- Game time for Seniors: Setup time: 5 min. - playing time: 60 min. - time on the clock: 16:04
(16 min. personal time for thinking / 4 seconds are free per move / after 60 min. remise)
- Game time for Juniors: Setup time: 5 min. - playing time: 45 min. - time on the clock: 11:05
(11 min. personal time for thinking / 5 seconds are free per move / after 45 min. remise)
- All tournaments will be accompanied by a World Championship Team. (Organization, Arbiters). Their orders are binding for participants and spectators.
- Spectators are welcome at all tournaments. We just ask not to disturb the course of the tournament and the concentration of the players.
